Windows designed to enhance your home with Wooden Luxury Windows
Created with luxury and class in mind, our oak framed casement windows operate effortlessly. Our individually crafted designs open externally but can also be made to open internally. Styled in either traditional or contemporary models, this range adds elegance to any home.
We use superior oak timber that guarantees for decades. Alongside this, our casement windows are factory glazed. We offer options of a factory applied paint finish or a hand finish, using durable paint products. This ensures long life and low maintenance.
The range incorporates technical innovations. This includes shoot bolts and multi point locking systems, known as espagnolette locking.
Construction
Our flush casement windows are constructed using finger joints. These joints increase the glue area significantly compared to traditional mortise and tenon joints. With D4 adhesive the result is a more robust and durable product
Factory Glazing
We use toughened 24mm class A glass units throughout. Argon filled , soft coating and grey spacer bar. Astral/duplex glazing is used to divide units internally to mimic Georgian glazing patterns.
Using high security glazing tape, all our windows are glazed externally to ensure a traditional look
Some others manufacturers bead internally, and we believe this is insecure. The glass can be pushed inwards by cutting the security tape from the outside (by sliding a scraper around the glass perimeter). The glazing Beads fitted internally are fitted using small nails and offer very little resistance once the tape has been cut.
Hidden weep holes
The misting of sealed glass units is usually caused when the glass unit is allowed to sit in a puddle of water trapped within the window. To combat this we put drainage holes through the bottom rail under the glass unit.
The glazing bead on the bottom rail does not need to be vented. This means we can make all the perimeter beads the same resulting in a athetelly pleasing, traditional appearance.
Factory Painting
We supply our windows as standard, painted with one base coat and one primer coat. A Full painting service is available in any colour.
We use exclusively Sickens micro porus water based paint throughout. Full painting consists of one base, two primer and two top coats.
Background Ventilation
Trickle vents are installed to provide background ventilation, and we fit these flush internally into the frames. They are fed with fresh air through the gap between the sash and frame, and this means that we do not have to fit external hoods on the outside of the window.
Security
We install espagnolette locking systems that secure the sash in 2 places plus shoot bolts top and bottom. This locking system provides high security and ensures the sash is evenly pressed against the weather seal.
Either friction or butt hinges can be fitted.
Made to measure in the UK
Our factory finished casement windows can be crafted with Georgian glazing bars. This complements a traditional, period design style. With glazed as standard openers, we can also accommodate more contemporary, modern feels. These windows are suitable for conservation areas. They feature clean lines that finish with sleek glazing bars and hand forged ironmongery. An etched glass effect can provide privacy in areas such as bathrooms.
